Q&A
Ask Mandy Questions and Answers
Q. Hey Mandy, I am Summer. I was wondering if you knew what to do when you have gym and you are on your period? I just started my period and I have, what should I do?
Summer
A. Honestly, you'll just have to tough if out. It's acutally been proven that if you exercise on your period, you are less likely to have major problems with cramps. If you get to a point where your in so much, you can't just ask your teacher, they'll understand normally. Good luck!

Q.
Whenever I invite my friends over, I get sick but when their gone I don't! Please help me solve my problem!
Stephany
A. Stephany, I used to have a similar problem, except for I realized I got sick whenever I went to my friends house, and then I realiezd I was allergic to cats, which they had. Maybe you are just allergic to a scent or something else that your friends have, so next time you invite your friends over, ask them to leave anything scented at home. Also if you don't already think you have allergies, you should talk to your doctor, or try some Claritin and see if that will help. Glad to help!

Q. During summer I have nothing to do! I get so very bored. What might you suggest I do?
Q. Almost everyone gets like that over the summer! You just have to remember to get active! Maybe try and jog a bit everyday! Or you could redo your bedroom! Help your parents around the house (I know they say this, but sometimes it's fun!). Create your own website! Take up a hobby! Join a art class (Or whatever your into or want to be good at)! Just remember to have crazy amounts of fun and stay away from the TV, you'll totally regret it!

Q. Dear Mandy, I was wondering, what age I should get my period? I'm 11, and I haven't had it yet, is that bad? I am worried! Thanks!
Heather
A. Hey Heather! You are right now going through what I think every girl has, worrying about not getting their period! But don't! On average, most girls get there period at 12. But if you want an accurate test to see when you could get your's, ask your mom, to see when she got her's! Because often, you get your first period around when your mom had her's! So Hakuna Matata (means no worries :), you are absolutely normal!

Q. Dear Mandy, I'm 12 years old. I still get homesick when I sleep over at a friend's house. And also, during trips! I try not to get homesick, but somehow it'll just happen. I really need help!
Alexa
A. Don't worry, that's perfectly normal for 12 year old's to get homesick! It's just no one wants to talk about it! And tell help you not feel so homesick, see if you can call your parents before you go to bed, and if you don't feel comfortable telling your friends, you oculd just say your parents make you. Hope I helped!
